The sun has set on the 2016 “Whoadeo” at Dixie Stampede!

“Whoadeo” is a free, annual event featuring outdoor games, face painting and other activities PLUS a stick horse competition inside the Dixie Stampede arena.

In Branson, MO, “Whoadeo” showcased kids’ events including Barrel Racing, Obstacle Course, and Bucking Horse competition, astride some of the wildest steeds in the stable. The competition on “stick horses” challenged kids to race around barrels, jump over obstacles and try their best not to get “bucked” off their horse.

Kids of all ages gathered to experience Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library come to life as the event also celebrates the joy of reading among families. Dolly said,

“My Imagination Library ‘Whoadeo’ is a fun event for all ages. There’s nothing better for a child’s mind than reading, so it is my hope that with each book, the child will dream more, learn more, care and be more.”

All proceeds from that evening’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show performance were donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

In Pigeon Forge, TN, Dixie Stampede’s Skeeter received a special surprise when one young rider arrived with his own Skeeter-inspired look. The Dixie Stampede funny man said,

“Well, I’ve always heard that imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery there is, so consider me flattered!”

This year marked the 10th anniversary of Dixie Stampede’s Whoadeo at Pigeon Forge, TN. Activities included stick horse competitions, a parade of horses, and costume contests in the Dixie Stampede arena and a free outdoor carnival.

Plans are already underway for next year’s events. Be sure to follow Dixie Stampede Pigeon Forge and Dixie Stampede Branson on Facebook and other social media outlets to keep up with upcoming events.
