Dixie Stampede opens 2017 season with “Canine Capers” and a new Carriage Room pre-show!
A new season opens Feb. 24 at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Branson, MO, as the renowned dinner attraction prepares its most high-spirited adventure ever.
This year, Dixie Stampede has enhanced its popular dinner show, creating an all-new animal experience. Only at the Branson, MO location will guests see “Canine Capers,” an action-packed exhibition of man’s best friends. This stunt dog relay event includes Fly-Ball racing, an agility course and high jump in an exciting head-to-head competition. “Canine Capers” features all rescue animals, specially trained and guaranteed to please dog lovers everywhere.
“We’ve had a lot of return guests to Dixie Stampede for 22 seasons now,” noted General Manager Bryan Cossiboom. “They have made our show such a success, so we’re making some exciting changes that will keep folks coming back for more!”
New Carriage Room Pre-Show
An hour before the main arena spectacular, the White River Wranglers entertain in Dixie Stampede’s Carriage Room with an incredible mix of hard-driving acoustics and heartfelt melodies. This fun-loving band takes guests on a musical journey through the history of Ozark Mountain music with folk tunes, early country and hard-driving bluegrass. It’s a fun-filled musical ride the entire family will enjoy.
Dixie Stampede continues to build on the tradition of quality entertainment and impressive showmanship as it enters its 23rd season. The show’s 32 magnificent horses and talented cast of top-notch trick riders remain the heart of the production, delivering a rousing display of equestrian skills and family-friendly comedy.
In addition to the spectacular show, every ticket to Dixie Stampede includes a delicious feast. Known as “The World’s Most Visited Dinner Attraction,” Dixie Stampede’s signature four-course meal includes original creamy vegetable soup and a hot homemade biscuit, a tender whole rotisserie chicken, hickory-smoked barbequed pork loin, buttery corn on the cob, herb-basted potato, Dixie Stampede’s very own specialty dessert and unlimited beverages including Pepsi products.
